| Intersteel is the brand which Van Leeuwen International’s mission is to make door handles an import aspect of one's interior design. The family business started in the late 1900 and became Van Leeuwen Agenturen which often acted as an agent of exclusive construction and interior door hardware. Since the 70s Van Leeuwen International administers the development of design door handles, window handles and accessories. In 1995 it was decided to continue the company with the distinctive brand Intersteel. Museum The years of passion of the family Van Leeuwen for construction and interior door hardware is reflected in an extensive range of old locks, complete lock sets, keys and door handles. Showpieces from the 15th century to the 20th century are displayed in our museum. The collection provides a splendid view of the desire for exclusive door hardware in the past centuries. Current designers use the exhibited pieces as an inspiration for new design. |
